Artview Consulting Ltd. was founded in 1994 as a venue to bring local art to the public and further the career of emerging and established professional artists.

Founder and president Elizabeth Laishley, an established artist herself, has been involved in the Alberta art world since her arrival in Canada in 1967. First as an art teacher, traveling art judge and art and program director of the Multicultural Centre in Stony Plain. She served as an arts advisor for the town of Peace River and for the Edmonton and Parkland school division. Elizabeth has operated numerous art galleries and served on many art society boards, i.e. Steeple Artworks, Creative Living committee of the Calgary Stampede, Riverview art group, Centre Gallery, Artpoint Gallery and Triangle Gallery.

Through Artview Expositions she has exhibited the works of numerous local professional artists throughout the City. Displays by Artview Expositions have adorned the walls of the Globe Cinema, various eating establishments, medical offices, and oil companies.

Recently Elizabeth has started the Adopt an Artist program, a joint venture between the Calgary business community and local Artists. For Artview this means a new and exciting way to promote original art by incorporating art in everyday life and bringing it out to the people.
